Out of Pocket

Some people prefer to pay themselves because it affords them greater privacy, since information is not submitted to an insurance company.  Some insurance companies will dictate how many sessions are available or attempt to direct or influence the treatment.  If you are using insurance, you will also need to have a diagnosis, which can follow you and affect future coverage. Cost is $210 for the initial diagnostic sessions, $180 for individual or family sessions. Psychological assessment is billed at $180 per hour and cost depends on the time involved for administration and scoring of tests, as well as the write-up of the evaluation.  Arrangements for payment can be made.

Insurance

Some prefer to use their insurance, as it helps defray the cost.  Most of the time insurance companies cover the cost of the initial evaluation and therapy, except for a copay, coinsurance, or sometimes a deductible. Some services such as report write-ups, phone consultations, couples therapy, etc. may not be covered and require out-of-pocket payment.  

Billing and Payment Process

~ If you are paying out of pocket or know the insurance portion that is your responsibility, then it is easier to pay at the time of your session or prepay a month ahead.   If not, then an invoice will be emailed or securely texted around the end of the month.  

~ Checks or cash are accepted.  A PayPal option is below, and credit/debit cards are also accepted.   There is a nominal 5% transaction fee for PayPal or credit cards for the additional processing.   Venmo requires a 3% processing fee. Some prefer to set up electronic bank payments or use Apple Pay which have no transaction fees.

Missed Appointment Fee

~ Your appointment time is set aside for you, so if you need to cancel let me know as soon as possible by texting or calling so this time could be offered to another client.  If you cancel less than 

24-48 hours before your appointment, you will be expected to pay a $75 missed appointment fee.  If a bill enters collection, there will be an additional recovery fee charged.
